I finally had the chance to come by after seeing this place on instagram countless times! My friend and I came around 1pm on a weekend and were greeted with the sight of a loooong queue. There aren't that many tables, so I'd recommend waiting for some seats to open up first before going to order, since they prepare your food really quickly anyway. (And they are cash only!) The two of us ordered pork and cabbage dumplings, the fishballs, noodles with peanut butter sauce, and the (weekend special) pot stickers. The fishballs were unexpectedly disappointing (I feel like that should be their speciality! especially for a Fuzhounese restaurant). The outside "wrapping" was nice but the meat filling had no flavour and a really overcooked texture. The broth was also super bland (water, a little bit of some broth, salt, msg, etc.) In contrast, I Loved the noodles - not soggy/overcooked, the sauce was measured and very authentic, and oh-so-cheap (only 3 dollars.). These were slurped up in no time :) The dumplings were nice. Definitely a great value for the price, and certainly nothing to complain about (but also nothing particularly amazing either). Same applied to the potstickers - amazing prize, good food, but nothing too special. All in all, I can't deny that the prices were ridiculously cheap (we were absolutely stuffed with some leftovers, for only $10 a person) but I'm not sure if the quality per se would be enough to draw me back again next time.

Pros: - 100% WORTH THE HYPE - Wheat Noodles w/ Peanut Sauce ($3) is delicious - Affordable price, huge portions - Fast service, so don't be scared of long line Wheat noodles have a next springy texture that pairs well with the savory peanut sauce. It was only $3 and came in a big portion which I can attest is worth the social media hype that this place has been gaining.

I've saved Shu Jiao Fu Zhou for ages and finally got to try it. It is a famous cheap eat place in Chinatown for dumplings and peanut butter noodles. We only paid $6 for noodles and 6 dumplings. There was a line on a Sunday afternoon that went fast. I would rate it a five star spot for the unbelievably cheap price, huge portion and food quality. *Wheat Noodle w. Peanut Butter Sauce 拌面 The noodle portion really shocked me -- it costed only $3 but they didn't skimp on it. Even though there wasn't any meat in the noodles, the peanut butter sauce and soy sauce were packed with flavor and the egg noodles held the sauces well. I was surprised I didn't find the noodles bland at all. *Pork and Chives Dumplings 豬肉韭菜水餃 We ordered the smaller size (6pcs) and they were delicious. The dumpling skin wasn't too thick. Every piece was stuffed with pork and chive. It was a very flavourful side to eat with peanut noodles.

This place is famous for a reason!! Peanut noodles for $3? You can't get a better bang for your buck than this. The soups and dumplings were bomb too. It's hard to find seating because there are so many people but it's worth the hassle. Is it the best food you can get in Chinatown? Well no, but it's pretty damn good for $16 for 3 people. Also remember it's cash only!!

This storied cheap eats spot in Chinatown was suggested to me at least a hundred times before I was able to make the trek down and try them out. I had visited other spots in the area before like Wo Hop, Wah Fung, and some others...so I had high expectations when many people said this spot was just as good if not better. We decided to get the dish most suggested to us (the wheat peanut butter noodles) and then also added one we really wanted to try (the pork and chive dumplings). The woman at the counter was very friendly and spoke good English (which in some spots is surpringly an issue). For the two dishes and two cans of soda it was only $9! The peanut butter noodles were unlike anything I've had before. They did not have a Thai peanut taste really (which is what I was expecting) but they didn't exactly just taste like peanut butter either. I enjoyed the sauce a great deal. The noodles also were a great texture. They were similar to a thin egg noodle but they had longer length similar to any long style pasta like spaghetti or fettuccine. I would absolutely order these again, and trust when I say that my next trip to Chinatown will have these included. The steamed pork and chive dumplings were also a huge hit. The filling had excellent flavor, a nice texture to the outer skin, and after you added a little chili oil there were was a lot of dimensions of flavor. I enjoyed these a lot and I think I'd enjoy them just as much if they were pan fried so half had a crust to them. We had dumplings at other spots on this day and these were my favorite of them all. Trust that we will be back here for sure and will try out some soup and other items as well as get these again. Shu Jiao Fu Zhou - Didn't Suck!

The line was almost out the door, the place gets packed quickly! This is a great place to grab some peanut noodle ($3) and some dumplings when you are hungry. A can of soda is $1.5 and a bottle of water is $1. Would recommend coming here again! Staffs: 4/5 Food: 4/5 Ambience: 3/5
