I don't understand the low yelp stars. I didn't take any pictures, but the shareable mac and cheese, my husband's their version of a Cuban and our pulled pork sandwich was delicious! This place gives a Cheers vibe (the sitcom that ran from the 80's-to early 90's) At the bar all the people seem to know each other and those that came after were eager to sit at the bar to talk to those they knew. The bar tender was waved and hugged fondly! She also did an excellent lavender lemon drop. I'll sit at the bar next time for sure!

Got the fish and fries. I got it to go so of course by the time I ate it, it wasn't as good as dine in. But, so far it's the best fried fish I've found in Modesto.

Who is in Modesto for the day. Since it was a long day I wanted to bring dinner home for my wife and myself. Decided on some barbecue, so I found this place on yelp. Came into order to go. Steve was very friendly, quick and professional. I was simple I just started to slab of ribs, which comes with apples, slaw, and a side of your choice. The apple slaw was pretty good seemingly mayo. For a little extra I ordered the mac & cheese, which was also pretty good. Considering I ordered a whole slab of ribs was pretty surprised by how small , the sides were. The other surprise was, there was no cornbread, no baked beans, no greens on the menu at all for sides . The ribs were good they were fall off the bone tender
