Fav banh mi shop. Been coming here since I was a kid in elementary school. It was the first banh mi my mom introduced me to! I always get their grilled pork or grilled beef one. $7-8 for a big sandwich. Enjoy one with with Nem Nuong pork meatball skewers, egg rolls, and a Vietnamese coffee for a hearty meal. Don't sleep on this spot! A local namestay establishment for sure (:

This Vietnamese Deli does have some great chops in constructing a delicious Bahn Mi. With an excellent balance of fresh ingredients, this is a complete meal with a crispy baguette. There is simply nothing better than a great sandwich sometimes. Item number One and Two are your go-to sandwiches. With delicious Pork cold cuts, head cheese, and that excellent pate paired with some daikon and a cucumber slice is best. I find myself asking for some extra jalapeno slices, but that is my preference. There are other sandwiches with other proteins and they are equally as well constructed and delectable. Paired with an order of 3 Eggrolls you certainly can have an excellent meal. Their eggrolls are filled with a seasoned pork mixture without too much fluff. This deli is a grab-and-go joint. Space is tight, but you will find other Vietnamese deli items here that are fresh and delicious. From deserts and pantry items scattered through the shelves and chillers.

Came here on a Sunday 1:30 pm, was expecting a line, but surprisingly was not too busy at all. Got their #7, and it was as good as expected. Haven't been there for more than a year, so was pleasantly surprised to see them upgrade to an order number ticket system. Probs the best banh mi shop in the SGV, with Ba Le (which is in Alhambra as well) being a close second to them. Cash only. Only a bench if you want to sit and eat, otherwise it's mainly takeout.

**CASH ONLY** If you're allergic to peanuts, ask if they can remove!! Came here around noon on a Sunday and there was a line of around 7-10 people. I waited for around 20 or so minutes before placing my order and another 15-20 for the sandwich. I ordered the charbroiled pork (#9) and it was yummy! If you have nut allergies, make sure you ask them to remove the peanuts! The menu didn't mention anything about it, so I was definitely surprised when I took my first bite. Although I typically eat peanuts, I didn't love the nuttiness and texture of it in the banh mi, so I'd likely ask them to remove it as well. This is quite a small shop, so unfortunately, there is no seating available. Once you place your order, I'd recommend standing outside as the inside tends to be pretty crowded. Overall, flavorful sandwiches (without the nuts) - just be prepared for a bit of a wait!

A Banh Mi that's not $15+?! Yes, calling out all the places west of DTLA that have the "Westside surcharge." Got the #8 and #9 (pork and beef) and both meats were flavorful. Sandwiches tasted authentic and fresh. There was a short line but it moved fast. Note, there is no seating at this location and it's cash only. They have two other locations but not sure of the seating situation there. Tip: you can call ahead and place your order for pickup if you don't want to wait in line. Plenty of off street parking too. I will definitely be returning. Cheers.

:: Food :: Holy smokes! I've only ordered banh mi from places like Banh Mi Che Cali, Lee's Sandwiches, and Mr. Baguette; I can confidently say Banh Mi My Tho beats all of those places mentioned. I ordered the Special Cold Cut Ham Sandwich and they were generous with the meats and toppings, other places usually skimp on the mayo, pate, and pickled radishes. Their egg rolls and meatball skewers were also great, the egg rolls are thinner and they are not like the usual ones with veggies, it's just nem nuong (Vietnamese grilled pork sausage) with the fried egg roll wrapper. Delish! :: Service :: Customer service was good. There was a line when we got there on a Sunday afternoon, after a short while the line was gone. It also seems like a small grocery store where you're able to grab a variety of snacks. :: Parking :: They have a small parking lot and there's street parking. :: Restroom :: No restroom. :: Tip :: Cash only!
